About the Conference

City Unity College – Nicosia (CUCN), in collaboration with the West Pomeranian University of Technology Poland, is organising a conference highlighting the challenges of modern tourism within the fields of management, finance, security and environment. The conference will be held at CUCN premises in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The conference will give emphasis on the challenges faced in the Tourism industry in regards to:

  • Management - issues result from the new trend of employing well educated and trained hotel and other tourism related entities.
  • Finance - a key issue especially as a result of the increased restrictions in banking regulations following the 2008 economic crisis.
  • Security - a critical issue related to international terrorism outbursts
  • Environment - ever more crucial because of the global warming and endangered planet consequence. The social impact of climate change will be further affected by society's efforts to prepare and adapt.

There is no participation fee. Participants are, however, responsible for securing their own funding for travelling and accommodation.
